The land that is now Croft State Park was once an army training base and is now a park with around 12 miles of biking and hiking trails. The rolling, wooded terrain offers scenic and exciting adventure opportunities. This adventure features the Southside Loop, the longest trail in the park. You will ride through hardwood forest and along creeks. This trail also offers access to many other mountain bike and hiking trails in the park. The trail can be accessed at two spots: the “Advanced America” bridge on the Palmetto Trail or from the Southside Parking lot at the end of Groce Rd. The park amenities include a playground, picnicking and camping, as well as fishing and boating. Be aware that there is a small admission fee for entrance into the park.
